realy..strange...thing.

hi guys, havent been around much but have been doin great h'yal doin. i was lookin at my rock.. and i have a type of whelk in my tank with a long proboscis, but i know hes there. however i went and looked in my tank just somet ime ago and saw a long "proboscis" lookign thing. it was a yelloey color, and WAY longer than my snails proboscis which is speckled black and grey. i look.. and i see no shell. it seems to be protruding from a hole in a rock. a long, hollow yellow tube.. which gets longer and shorter and waves around and seems to be sucking on the rock. what on earth is this? any common idea?
