sponge of some sort?

yeah hi. this stuff has spread throughout on this rock. ive placed a couple of foto's. its in my girlfreinds tank which is a tiny one its only been setup for a few weeks and this stuff has spead like wildfire.just curious if its coral or a sponge. its got a creamy color maybe a very lite pink or orange maybe even and hint of ivory. its very soothing to look at haha.

Could be a sponge but I think it may be a type of tunicate (Ascidiacea sp.)

Is the rock new.....meaning...died but is coming back? Could be bacteria forming over dieing stuff on the rock.
