Look like sponges, probably pineapple sponge. Harmless filter feeders.

Define like it. You mean eat it? No, they eat shrimp and other things.

Yes eat it. Everything I've researched said that regal Angels need sponge in the diet. Right now he's eating fresh clams and mussels.

I only have limited knowledge on them. I don't keep non reef fish, just don't recall regales eating sponge. If your research tells you that it'll eat sponge then Id have to listen to it if you read it from reputable sources.

I appreciate the help. I might do a reef one day. I'm currently in the middle of building a 210 gallon tank. I might make a reef out of my old tank.
