Worm things, what are they?

I have little red worms all over around the decomposing shrimp.

How did they get in there??????

How do I get rid of them??????

Are they harmful???????

Sounds like bristle worms. Do you have live rock?

Can you describe them in more detail? Are the worms kind of 'fuzzy' looking or are they very smooth in their body shape?

sounds like bristleworms if you get a coral banded shrimp it will feast on these little guys

Little red worms sound like they could either be spaghetti worms (if they're string-like) or those little red worms that seem to form out of no where in the filter media. Without a description that includes "fuzzy", "furry" or "bristley" I'm inclined not to think bristle worm!
