Yep, well the thing is they have a tank especially for huge fish that people have and don't do research on and then dump it on the lfs it's about 300g. They also have huge plecos and oscars.. Go figure.

My lfs is always getting sad big fish that you know haven't had a good life. I always want to take them home sso they can live out their days in happiness.

I remembered reading this thread and happened to stop by my pond store today. Well, they had ten breeders. This pic doesn't do the fish justice- he was well over a foot long & his body was as wide around as a big coffee can. To see the size of these guys is unreal. And I thought my guys were big!
