Aquarium Advice Freak
This was my first project. I'm really stingy about buying more aquarium supplies since I have to save up for college. While I was changing my water today, I made my first brown algae scraper (and probably the ONLY i'll ever make!! ...yes it was that bad, haha..). I took an unused green scratchy sponge pad thingie (it's not really a sponge.. when you have a sponge with the yellow sponge part and the green part used to get tough grease and grime out--the part i used is the tougher green part). I rubberbanded it around the end/armpit of a plastic coat hanger. I then rubberbanded about.. 2 inches up the "arm" of the hanger so it wasn't as wide. Aaand theen, I just scrubbed all the algae away! I can probably make it better by using aquarium sealant to secure the scruffy green stuff onto the hanger.
