Clear coat

Does anyone know if the is any clear coat or clear paint that I can use on everyday items that will seal the the item and make it aquarium safe. I want to make a star wars themed tank for my godson and want to use toys as the decor. Also does anyone know if there is any star wars decor available for purchase. Thanks for your time if u answer.
