Anyone care to make a list of all the benefits to a bubble counter/ gas seperator in a DIY co2 system.

There are exactly 2 benefits:
1. If you fill it with water, and put the input line down in that water, it will act as a bubble counter.
2. Any floccuated yeast that makes it up the input line from your yeast generators will get trapped in the separator. It is much easier to clean out the separator than have that floccuated yeast make it into your aquarium.
