How do I make a fish cave

I was wondering how to make a cave that will blend into the substrate can anyone give me suggestions (im on a tight budget)

If you wanna blend to the substrate then cut a piece of pvc into the desired shape, coat the outside in silcone, and then roll in the same kind of substrate to match

If you want a more natural looking cave, you could shape your own out of clay or sculpey (I would recommend sculpey since you don't need a kiln to cure it and it's cheaper all together) then do as suggested above. Also, hot glue works just as well as silicone. Gorilla Glue is also aquarium safe if you have some of that laying around.

When I made mine I bought a piece of slate from lowes broke in up into pieces with a hammer and used silicone to glue it together into a car.

I like the slate cave idea. Could java moss grow on that?

River stones are probably the cheapest you can go with the most natural look. What kind of adhesive did you use

I used inverted clay flower pots that I broke holes in with a hammer. After putting them in the tank, I planted plants around them with some short ones in front and some hanging over the pots. Its not as natural as the slate or rocks but work well as this was all I had around the house at the time. The alge growing on them looks good.
