new lights

hi all there
just wanted to give a shout out to all you diy ers
over the last week i got my new lights and
pretty much got the canopy for it built also
the lights i have are the florex 65w security lights
that u can get at hd/lowes
man they are bright as heck
whats cool bout them i think is they
dont come on at full intensity at startup
it takes about 2 minutes to come up to full intensity
sort of mimicing sunrise
gonna mount them as soon as i finish painting and staining the canopy

canopy is about 12" high which leaves them about 3-4" above the surface
well they do get hot but i will be putting in a fan or 2 to circulate the heated air into and out of the top

Any pics? do you have any idea what K the bulbs are in those things? and do you know wether or not you could order/buy the K you want if you wanted to?

i treid looking at homedepot.com and lowes.com (and i hate their new layout) and didn't see 'em. judging by your description of taking 2 mins to fully fire, i hope you didn't get a sodium fixture, or a mercury vapor as i don't believe you can use a MH bulb in them saftely, i might be mistake though.

i will be also using actnics with em

6500K THAT ROCKS!! how many watts are they? and how much did they cost?
Even if they are not MH exactly you can order the replacement bulb or get the sodium bulb or MV bulb on e-bay.. I think it would be the 2 contact MH bulbs actually.. Do you know what they are?

hmm you happen to know if they make anything with more wattage ? like in the 150watt range ?
