This has been around for awhile but some may not have seen it, one of my favorite cichlid videos. Watching parents defend their young is one of their most fascinating behaviors.

They're boulengerochromis microlepis, they are the worlds largest cichlid.

Yes, most Caquetaia umbriferus hit 24" and Nandopis dovii hit close to 30" but the boulengerochromis microlepis hit over 36".

Thanks for the video.

One of my favorite things is to watch any of my "finned kids" going through the entire spawning ritual including protecting & raising the fry. Right now we're keeping an eye on one of our male BN plecos and his brood.
