I take that too.. I cant seem to grow enough purple hull peas. Fresh with bacon salt and pepper slow cooked all day. Make tongue slap your brain

You're making me hungry..LMAO
My kids are strange love green peas and brussel sprouts, live off them from freezer. Not familiar with the purple hull ones.

Springs here.... Getting finding fresh asparagus also!

Would have thought we'd been to cold for asparagus and mushrooms.

Updates of side garden. Peas, tomatoes and okra mostly. Taters are gonna be pulled next week we will see what we got. Over 20 green tomatoes golf ball size.

Yeah... I'd rather have [emoji265] [emoji265] [emoji265] [emoji265] [emoji265] than steak, and I'm a cattleman!

I can't believe all the local wildlife doesn't harvest for you.

I miss a good garden. Lots of work but good eats when fresh

You know its funny. No scientific data. I rarely have any pests. When natural food sources are low I think thats when you have the most issues imo. I have decent amount of land. Behind me is 320ac. 1200 across the street and probably 500 on each side of me. So everything got plenty lol.

Taters come out next saturday. Already got some zucchini cukes and tomatoes

It's been a strange wet spring here in Indiana but we finally got a dryer, warm spell and we got our garden planted. Farmers got most of their crops in.... Then approximately 3" rain this week. But it's gonna get real hot and humid now, summertime is fast approaching.

That is a beautiful container for a lovely subject.

Yesterday I loaded about 50 pics from my camera, but not all are up on here. I have a few garden pics of the veggies.

Weeded more in the garden today, my potted Strawberry Corn seed ( a few were started in the ground) is about 1-3 inches now. Have watermelon and decorative mixed Gourds and green onions seeds to plant tomorrow. Planted nasturtium jewel mix at the same time as the corn

Here is what I did get added to the album regarding the garden

Chive flowers and pansies are edibles...
Beautiful Purple cabbage growing pretty well though I saw some leaf damage today, will be keeping an eye out for the worms!
