How much money do you have into our hobby so far?

Well, I know Im over a grand. As far as the wife knows, everything was used and cost like $20 each.

My total is a little over 2K. I just bought a CO2 system too and 2-30g breeder tanks for my discus. Its hard not to buy anything Even if you have everything that you need, you'll still want to "upgrade", try new stuff, new plants, new aquascape. Stuff like that...

+1 you go to a pet store and see a fish you really like what are you gonna do say maybe next time or say its time for a new tank lol

I've got about $350 into it so far just setting up our 29g. Just waiting for the tank to cycle to add fish. Looking for the stuff to start a planted tank for myself so I expect to spend another $1000 getting it going. In contrast, I'll spend at least that much this year on the garden and the wifes flowers. Spent $200 just today on growing medium and flowers for her hanging baskets.

On my 46g I'm sitting around 1700 so far. I told my fiancée my hobby wasn't as expensive as she thought it was...I think she's onto me.

I was in a motorcycle accident in September of 2009 I got my payout in February of 2010, my wife said no new bike so I took a vacation and when I got back I ordered a custom tank... $4500 I then started on the construction... somewhere around August my kids started asking me when we were going to get fish... that's when I got MTS I got a 30g FW tank that was already running and set it up. I have been working on my tank and having ups and downs... finally this month I got fish in my tank. I've run out of money from my accident... I had $7,000 set aside for my tank $4,500 for my tank $1,000 for my LEDs then another $700 to replace the ones that broke and $1,000 for my Apex. Plus I have spent at least $500 of my own cash on various things... My wife now wants me to get a Wooper Looper (Axolotl) and she wants either a FW or SW puffer. So I will have 4 tanks when it is all said and done.

A staggering 5k that's right I have a 66 gallon tropical freshwater planted setup with co2 auto water change system and 34 fish from all over the world. God I love fish keeping

So far I am up to approx $4000Aud. My tank/cabinet alone cost $3000. Its a 6ftx2ft2ft in a jarrah cabinet. The picture that has only a few things in was from the day I got it. The other is what it is currently which in 2 weeks is going to have more plants added as it's still bare in parts of it
