I have the brass fitting.

However my bathroom sink faucet is the same size as outdoor faucets, The screw on conector I mean, So it dosn't fit and I have to carefully screw the plastic bit onto the faucet.

Ok people. Listen up. I'm only going to tell you this once and there will be a test. Take the plastic pump part of the Python. Look down into it where it hooks to the faucet. On almost all of the pumps you will see a hex shaped hole. Like you could put a really big Allen wrench in there. Well guess what? You can and you can tighten up that fitting and eliminate most of your leaks.
