Random question about purchasing fish.

Say you went into a place that sells fish and doesn't take good care of them at all and you had no other choice but this store. Would you want to pick a smaller one because its been their the least amount of time ( not always true) or a large one so you could save it because its suffered the longest?

I'd personally go for the healthiest looking fish at least they will have a chance it might seem cruel but if the other ones are really sick then you might be throwing a lot of money into a fish that probably won't make it
