So, I've been watching tanked for awhile now and those guys have always irked me. I'm glad they're having fun, but they're just too goofy for my taste lol

First and foremost, I've noticed NO mention of cycling a tank. They always pour their bottle of stuff in there and call it cycled. I understand its mostly editing, but if I were spending that much money on a tank, I'd be darned if it wasn't going to be properly cycled.

So here's my theory, poke holes if you'd like :)

The filters that they plan to put on these tanks. I imagine that they run them on a setup until they are cycled. Then transfer them to the new tank. This should instantly cycle the new tank right?

I wish they'd at least mention cycling because I've talked to a few people who watch the show and now they think they can just buy the equipment and stock it right away.

Your thoughts?

I've seen an episode where they did a tank in a casino in San Diego I believe. They did mention that they used seeded filters and add they're own brew of bacteria. I think since so many people started griping about this they started mentioning it more...

Edit: and yeah I know what you mean, those guys get seriously annoying sometimes!
