I have a 55 gallon tank with no co2. Again, looking to plant with low and medium light plants.

If not, then what does everybody suggest? help is greatly appreciated.

You might want to get the freshwater one instead of the saltwater one. Other then that, the fixture should work nicely for you.

Depending on the quality of the fixture, you will have between medium and high light. You might need CO2 to keep the algae at bay, but you might be able to get away without it. It hinges on a number of factors.

The fixture is a normal output T5.

Ah, didn't see that. In which case, you probably should be fine w/o CO2.
