I have some plants that have bushed out and I was wondering if I was to cut the branches off, what would be the best way to root them?

What type of plants are they? For example my rotalla indica is just able to be snipped and then put right back into the substrate and they take root quickly. Other plants I am not quite sure off. I know my dwarf sag just sends runners so there is no need to manually propagate them.

There the same as these. Not sure what there called

These look like some form of Hornwort. I would just trim the. Directly below one of the leaf outgrowths. Then place that trimming in the gravel to let it take root. This should propagate the plant. You could also float the trimming to let it grow first. The growth will depend on the Light/CO2/Nutrients.

What do you have for lighting? Do you dose your tank at all?
