Angelfish drowned?

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone has ever had a fish get tangled in plants and drowned?

I came home today and my angelfish was tangled in my plants dead. All other fish were fine. And he couldn't have died and then got tangled could he? I mean he was deep in the plant, I had To rip some stems off the plant To get him out.

I doubt it.. it probably died by other causes and had some convolutions to the point it got intertwined within the plants. That's my guess.
