What is the best plant for a beginner. No special lighting or special care. Just something I can put in my tank. I don't mind putting in food if its easy but I want something easy with low maintenance. It's possibly for my ten gallon guppy tank. What would y'all suggest as an easy, low maintenance, beginner plant?

Java Fern. Tie it to a piece of wood, a rock, or a piece of decor and it should grow.

Amazon Swords are very durable. I add a root tab every 4 months. I feed liquid ferts 1x weekly. And trim off dead leaves. Easy !

If you have a screw in fixture you can change bulbs if you want to compact fluorescents. I aim for 10-15watt bulbs so total is 2-3 watts/gallon.
I try for 6500K

My low tech tanks are on my profile page.
