The Barr report has lots of info on co2 free systems. They're also lower light from what I understand so far (I'm new myself). Something about high light in absence of co2 leads to algae? Don't quote me on that, just something to research.
Seems like the low light low co2 systems are the most low maintenance. And you might be interested in the dry start method if you haven't put fish in yet.
