Well- last week, we returned home one evening to find our common pleco "Sticky 2" dead. He was just fine that AM, doing his normal leaf scrubbing, and so on. What we discovered- he was completely and hopelessly entangled in Java Moss roots. One "patch" of it had somehow been pulled up from the substrate and he had, we guess, been rooting around and got himself completely entangled to the point of killing himself. In a few shirt hours, the blister snails had already started disposing if the "body"...
