Is it possable to cut a sprout the came from a bulb and trans plant it?

I know with other bulb plants you can take part of the bulb and plant it. But I don't think taking a shoot will work. Anyone else know?

Is this an established bulb or just a baby one?
I think it would depend one the species, but I think most bulb plants can't be propagated by cuttings.
