Blue-green algae

I just came home from a weekend away from the fishy. . . and his gravel is covered in blue-green algae and brown algae. Should I be worried and what do I do to get rid of it?

I'm posting here because I only started seeing this after I put an Aponogeton bulb in the tank. But until today I thought I was imagining things, but my mom sees it too.

I replied to your other post in the general area, but I also wanted to add that if you do have plants in your tank, it's somewhat common if you don't have any NO3's to feed the plants along with poor circulation within the tank.
