Hi Guys

I have a 150cm(L) x 70cm(W0 x 50cm(H) tank

I'd like to grow a HC carpet.

So far I have 4 x 54w 6500K T5's

What else do I need to make sure that i can grow this carpet?

Many thanks for your help

if you were to base it on the wpg rule, you have 216w over a 140g tank. That's 1.5wpg which won't be enough light to grow HC. However in large tanks, the wpg rule falls over a little. I'm not certain of that threshold, but someone else can chime in with info.

But I also believe HC is a medium-light plant. Medium light plants also generally need Co2 injection.

Thanks

I have CO2 and controllers

It's a shallow tank for the width and length.
most tanks that length are about 72 cm deep

I was wondering if adding some 10 000K bulbs would help.
I was also thinking of some 95w compact fluorescents to get the W/G up
