Hi guys,

My tank measures L 24 x W 12 x H 18 (inches) I have a single 15W Life-Glo bulb. Substrate to bulb measures 14 inches. I dose with flourish comp and excel and use root tabs. Some of my low light plants don't look too good. How many hours per day should I be running my light for without having algae issues?

Since your tank is pretty tall I doubt you will be able to grow much with that bulb. But yes you can extend the photoperiod to 10 hours or more to get more light. Make sure to use seachem excel.
