new 50 gallin build

So sadly my pair of Jack Dempseys got poisoned by my mom trying to clean my tank for some reason. But I'm going to rebuild with plants. It's a 50 gallon tall tank, my lights are 36" t5ho 2 bulb, no co2. Id like it to be moderately planted more focused on some dwarf baby tears meadow. As far as a stock list I was thinking a school of rainbow fish, a pair of gbr's, and maybe one more school of tiger barbs or something similar. So any thoughts, suggestions, and comments welcome. Here is the tank currently.

How much total wattage do you have on the tank?

Dwarf Baby Tears (Also known as HC I think) are quite hard to take care of, at least In My Experience, and need quite the lighting too.

About 2 Watts per gallon I think. So 108, I think they are 54 Watt bulbs
