The first pic. Of the whole tank, the one in the left corner, I'm not sure still, but I may have figured out the one to the right pf it. Its a very tall grass, and it is taller than tank is deep, but they sit on surface, which is characteristic of that plant

Well..maybe. they could just still be really small, but it almost looks like blades of grass, not leaves...idk maybe its just a baby..

This is the one plant.. this is as good a pic I can get with my camera phone

The big anubias looks like A. hastefolia...

Uhhh I'm going to go with some kind of baby sword plant of some random species lol... I might even go with emersed eriocaulon.

Like this eriocaulon aquaticum
eriocaulonaqua_fo.jpg

They make flower stalks too like the ones on your plant:

If you paid top dollar for it...it's probably an erio. Or it could be that mini sword colleansmom was talking about...we won't know until the plant beefs up a little more.

The strappy plant I'm going with some kind of large saggitarius or val. Probably not a crypt since it has a crown not a rhizome.

I agree about the other one being a val of some kind, i've seen some valisnera americana that looks like that as well.

One other rhizome plant that comes to mind besides the ferns/anubias is bolbitis.

Agreed, that is the anubias I have. I also am thinking the very tall, grassy one is a val. My question of that, it says its bad to prune these, as cutting will harm the plant. Its up to my surface, but my betta loves this. Is it ok to just let it grow out like that?

So the tall val was an amazon val, and one leaf broke off, and is growing in the filter output despite the flow, it looks neat. Here is a pic as it stands today
