Plant lighting

I just got off the phone with the LFS. I'm currently using a 10,000k / actinic lamp that came with my fixture. All he has is a full 6700k lamp NOT the 6700k / 10,000k lamp. Should I buy this lamp for better lighting with my plants or try to get him to order the one side 10,000k other side 6700k?

I'd go with the 6700K. Most plants do better with this light than 10,000K.

Depending on how much light that you want on the tank. What is the wattage of these lamps. You can run one kind or both. Both are good for plants but the wattage should be the deciding factor.

It is a 65w current usa satellite.

It would work with either combination. The 10,000k will give the tank a whiter color, where as the 6700k is a combo of both ranges.
