I've had this Java miss for years, in the last year or so it started developing this weird fuzzy like growth.

I just added the snails, the growth has been there long before the snails. So the snails didn't cause this.

The only only thing in the tank are 2 blue eye tetras.

Does anyone have any ideas???? Should I remove the wood and moss? Clean the wood? I'm getting ready to re aquascape the tank, so I'd like to have an idea of what I'm dealing with

Try removing the plant. Clean and do an h202 dip. See if that helps ya.

Thanks, I removed the wood, gave it a good rinse (didn't have any h2o2 on hand) and manually pulled off any of the left over moss and slimy stuff. We will see if it try's to make a come back..
