Terrible Hair/thread algae

No, it was just a beginner mistake lol. A.k.a I need to test my water more than I do.


I wouldnt get too hung up on testing though. If you keep your routine the same and have a stable and mature tank, i really see no need. Ive not tested in over a year if im honest

Hit it with some hydrogen peroxide from walmart. it will turn pinkish gray and float off in a few days. Had a loach dig up some osmocote tabs and had it in about 50% of a 55 gallon tank. Used a medicine dropper for kids and hit the areas where it was and it bubbled and died. Did not harm the shrimp or discus either. Took 3 days for the stuff to seperate and go into the filter, but it was a heck of a lot easier than manual removal.
