Im doing my first full water change for my new divided planted 10gallon betta aquarium and i noticed that there are these really tiny white dots darting around everywhere! They sometimes cling to the glass. They seem to have a tiny tail but im not sure. Are they harmful???? If so how do i get rid of them?????

Google "copepod"

Does this seem like what you see?

If so, as far as my research shows, they don't seem to be harmful. You can manage the population with gravel vacs and water changes
