Weird jelly thing in my tank

I have recently discovered this weird thing in my tank I have done a little research and heard about snails but I have never had snails in my tank I just want to know what it is and is it harmful to my platy it is a 3 gallon tank with one fish it is pink and covered in a jelly like substance

Does it move at all, if not then it could be a piece of food. I have seen this in my aquarium just clean it up and slowly increase water movement and filtration. This is just so that food doesn't have a place to settle and grow mucus, fungus or (Jelly stuff.).
 
Not doubting you at all and no it does not move, if I feed my platy flakes then how would it look like a little pink worm and thanks for the devious info
 
Looks like feces, and some times fish throw up. Pink would come from the red pigment in the food, and also at times fungus eats away at the food also.
