Bristleworms

Been reading up on these. Got two right now in a 55g tank. When should I worry about them.

When they start to annoy you. They do a lot of good for the tank, but aren't the prettiest things to look at. I never saw any in my tank the two years it was up until I moved and had to dismantle it. There were quite a few large ones and I never had any issues.

I know I have at least one pretty good sized one, but it's the only one I've actually seen. I've never had any problems with it. They only eat decaying material.

All I really know about them are they are part of the starfish family and they do have some pretty good benefits to the tank by getting the small debris around

I found two yesterday. I had one BIG one, and one small one. I flushed the BIG one down the toilet and kept the small one. I just threw the guy in the tank, so I don't know if he lived or not. :-;
