Can you use a air pump as a powerhead or can it create more water flow for coral?

air pumps don't usually create much current except through the upward movement of air bubbles. Since the negatives of air bubbles in terms of visibility issues and salt creep far out weigh the benefits in a salt tank, most don't use them.
