I picked up a copperband butterfly fish today and all my other fish were scarred of it. I have two clowns and a fire fish. The fire fish was so scarred it jumped out of the tank and I found him dead. After reading about the butterfly fish I can't believe the other fish act this way around it. It doesn't really harass them so what gives?

Seems odd that the other fish would be afraid, especially Clowns. I doubt it stays that way for long.

Did you see the Copperband eat at your LFS? They are notoriously finicky eaters and most die due to that.

No he hasn't tried to nip or chase them or anything, they just run and try to get out of the tank we he comes near. Hopefully my clowns don't try to jump out while I'm at work
