Does EVERYONE use RO/DI water?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an interest in aquariums or fish keeping!

The town snowplow piles 3-5 ft of the salty chunks right in front of the fire hydrant on my peaceful little dead-end street, but they'll slap me with a fine if I blow or shovel my snow into the street.

are you kidding me ? wow everyone in il uses snow blowers and blow it onto the street for the plow to get !

yea i was kidding id guess ya would only get 1/2 gallon of water out of a 5 gallon bucket of snow though :)

If people use a ro/di like the AquaFX Barracuda (or whatever ebay unit), do you still need to add in products like amquel or others to remove chlorine, or is the water good to go (add in salt, and *poof* instant sea monkies!!) ? :D

Then that almost justifies buying a ro/di unit in itself... those darned chemicals cost some serious money. Added to the fact that someone like me enjoys having 5943504 gadgets around the house. Pure water filter? Don't got one of those... sweet! New Toy!!!
