Hi guys, hope I posted this on the right board.
I am in the middle of a translation project from Japanese to English. It's a smartphone encyclopedia of aquarium fish (of sorts) and I hit a snag - I can't identify one jawfish. No Latin name is given for it, only that it's a member of the Opistognathus genus. Its Japanese name is something like the "Penny Jawfish" (going strictly phonetically) but as far as I can tell no such name exists in English (confirmed by browsing FishBase).
I managed to find a single picture of the fish. Here it is:
Only other information I have is that its distribution area is the Eastern Pacific and that it's a big fish that likes to stick out its big head out of its nesting cavities. If anyone knows what is this jawfish, I'd be really grateful.
Thanks in advance.
