Hi guys , what's a rough guide to how high a light unit should be hung over an open top tank ......min height max height ?

What kind of light and how deep the tank? What do you want to keep?

its T5 light unit , tank is 18 inches deep , 6 foot long and has nemo,s , tang , butterfluy , damsells and cleaner shrimp in at the min

If you have coverage, I would hang it about 18"
