I'm thinking of turning my 125 into a FOWLR system in the near future its something i've wanted to do for a pretty decent amount of time! I don't intend to keep coral but I don't intend to have nearly 150 pounds of live rock and I know the standard lighting on the tank isn't enough but I have no idea what is enough so any help its great! I was looking at the coral life 48 inch strips that can be connected its T5 HO with two lamps and I was wondering if one or even two of these connected together would be enough lighting for the live rock I think they put out 108 Watts per fixture?

No special lighting is needed for live rock . Just use whatever you like best. I'm using a 4 ft t8 bulb in my 180 lol.

So you think a 4 foot t5HO would be plenty good enough?

Some don't like the look of the dimmer ends of the tank . If you like it then it will be fine.
