Majano

I have majano on my rock I bought from cl. I tryed using boiling water with a syringe and had no success. I seen online that using vinager in a syringe will kill them. Any one know if this works or is it safe? Also the lfs told me to take the rock out put it in a bucket with salt water and let the temp drop 20+degrees then they should just shake off. I have them on almost all my rock and hope there is a easier way to get rid if these. Any other suggestions please post.
