New t5 lighting and water temp question

last threadjack, yea it got so bad i had to take the tank down. I think the acrylic we used might have been a contributor as well, but thats just a guess.

So kids, soak your eggcrate!
 
I believe its actually called "lighting diffusors" so when you go into lowes or hd, they don't look at you all crazy.

Well at least my store looked at me crazy
 
Another thing about those "Light Diffusors" is that the have a rt way and a wrong way to put down on your tank. These are light diffusors so one way >>>Diffuses your light and the other way shoots it straight down. You would want to use the side that shoots the light straight down so as not to loose to much Par. Look at the eggcrate and you will see one side is tapered and thats the side you want up so that you shoot the light straight down into your tank.
