I want to run phos-ban in my aquarium to help with phosphates but i dont have a sump or a reactor to go in a sump, can i just put the phosban in a media sock and put it in the back of my hob filter?

Yep. I run gfo sometimes on my 20g tank and it has a hob aquaclear. :)

its just ive heard some debate of it being not as effective as a media reactor and the flow might be too strong, how are your results? Does it work well?

I get the same results as I do when i run gfo with a reactor on my 125g. The reactor pushes water at about 295gph and most hob's are that or less at least on smaller tanks so as long as the water flows freely through the gfo it will show results. :)

Thank u very much lol saved me about 45$ for a reactor

Don't put in too much gfo and make sure it is in full contact with the water and it flows through it. :) It will work within a day or so, great stuff that gfo.....
