On closer inspection... Not diatoms... Looks like an algae. Grasslike... Is this a good thing?

What I figured, just wasn't sure singe it didn't look like what it did in my freshwater setup.

I would think halide would be over kill for a tank that is only16 " deep. That is just me. I may be changing directions with my 40 breeder , so I would like to know for certain too.

Well, I ordered a 36" t5ho with LEDs, and scored another mp10 on Craigslist for $120.... THAT was a total steal!!!

4. 2 white, 2 blue. 39w each. That's 156 watts on a 40gallon, 16" deep tank...should be enough for a neme and a few corals, lol
