Update to live rock...

don't think I want to ever re scape
wasn't no picnic the first time but I'm glad how it turned out
and now that its filling out with coral it would be one big pain in the butt cheeks lol
 
So I still have the cave, BUT... Since I put that pic up, my rocks settled a bit, and 1 was sitting a bit too close to the glass in order to get my mag-float in there, so I had to rearrange a couple rocks. So can I get some backing here from everyone about how disgustingly frustrating it is to rearrange rocks to your liking?! It took about an hour and a half, then a did a 10% PWC because it was the day for a PWC anyway. Shoot, it was aggravating!! Well, Here's a pic of the most recent as of last night...

Kind of difficult to see them, because the back is painted black... Here's my new favorite cave...

Let's see some before and afters everyone, and also maybe some feelings shared about aggravating rock moves! :cool:

That looks great!!! Do you have any issues with getting good water flow in the caves? I wanted to do that too but I have three power heads and I'm not sure how to get good flow.
 
Yea I have plenty of flow... 55 gallon tank getting turned over 44 times an hour. I have 1 on each side of the back facing the front/middle of the tank, and one in the center of the back facing forward/down... The 55s are narrow, so flow bounces off the front and goes all over the place :cool:

How much rock? Probably around 45 ish pounds... I just took out about 20 of some really dense aquaculture crap that I foolishly bought at Petco... So I'm pretty sure that's what's left.. 45-50 most likely.

How much is in the first pic? It looks like its 1/10th of the amount in the second pic...
 
OMG! That does look awesome! I need to get some more live rock!! LOL! How big is your tank?
