Hello all!

Joined up because I'm a complete beginner and need help!

I have a 40L tank and no idea where to start, I have been trying to research which type of aquarium and fish is easiest for beginners but can't work it out.

Would be happy for any advice any of you have!

Thanks!

Rachel :)

Hi Rachael
I heard you can't go wrong with tetras I've recently just got myself a stocked aquarium and have 6 of them in the tank. I've just posted on here so have a look and see what you think x

I recommend some livebearers- guppies, or platys, or endlers! They are easy and fun to keep. You can even get some from users here; many breed them.

Other easy fish for a 40 liter are kuhli loaches, betta fish, and pygmy corydoras!

A lot of tetras are too active for a 40 liter and some are delicate.

(I'm assuming 40L is 40 liters. If it's a 40 gallon long there are TONS more awesome fish you can get!)

Welcome to AA!
