Hi everyone so glad i found this site, I've been keeping a tank for about 8 months now, and i have tons of questions, my only one right now is about my micky mouse Platy. He got a bad look to him (curved spine) then died about a week later :(, he was one of the first fish i had and had him for a good seven months. Should I be concerned about any of the other fish with getting a crooked spine like he did?

Hi Snorkleboy, I don't want to be alarmist but a curved spine in fishes
is sometimes caused by Fish Tuberculosis, keep a close eye on your other
fish and if they start showing symptoms you may need to euthanase any
remaining fish. and always wash your hands and arms with soap and water
if you put them in the tank, fish TB can cause a rash on your skin. but I
could be wrong in this case, maybe another member will help out here.

Cool thank you very much, and I did read it could have been fish TB but I'm pretty sure that's not it, because none f the other fish have shown it in the three weeks he's been gone.

Hi again, well I'm glad I seem to be wrong this time. hope the rest of your fish will be ok, if you have any more problems there will be someone here who will be able to help. good luck.

Pete
