Hi all,

Have had a 29 gal freshwater tank since 1997.

It has gotten pretty tired since it was used when I got it.

In the process of changing out to a new one! Finally, huh?

I do have a question....

Has anyone added glass gems to their gravel? Will this be harmful to the fishies? They have been washed with warm water only.

Any suggestions/comments would be appreciated.

as long as they don't have sharp edges, no. Another good way to wash them would be to add a touch of bleach to kill any bacteria and then make sure their rinsed really well.
