Have been an aquarium owner for many decades now. I have kept dwarf cichlids, African lilies, and most recently fancy guppies. The guppies were not by choice. A friends spouse died and convinced me to rescue his guppies due to total lack of knowledge and interest. So I complied and added them to my 40 gallon community tank. They breed like rabbits, and fortunately a local pet store agreed to take them off my hands, as I want to get back into dwarf cichlids. My first question is whether the ones that were impossible to net out (mostly fry and a few adults) are acceptable dither fish. Thanks.

Welcome to AA! I wouldnt say guppies because they have long flowing fins. Hope you like the site so far!
