new with 5.5g tank need help

hi yeah i have a 5.5 gallon tank, with heater, light, and filter and its freshwater normal tank but now i want to convert it into a nice nano planted tank any help or ideas would help A LOTTTT
also i do have eperience with fist tannks i've had a 10 gallon for more than a year now and the 5.5 is about 6 months old

oh and i forgot to say i want to try to make the grassy look what substrate?? i want grasssy and planted in both corners and a path of sand in the middle and front.. Sound good? just giving a visualation and i have a DIY hood with floursent compact screwin light
